Scam company - avoid! Waited hours, they added hidden fees, demanded €7,000 deposit, and in the end canceled my booking. Many other angry customers too. Don’t waste your time or money here.

BETRUG!!! BITTE HIER NICHT MIETEN. Über Check24 unter der Firma „Wizcar„ online gemietet. Bei Ankunft am Flughafen wurden wir auf einen komischen Parkplatz gebracht. Es wurden, trotz Buchung ohne Selbstbeteiligung, über Check24, 3000€ Kaution verlangt oder wir sollen eine extra Versicherung zahlen. Es kamen dazu noch Fragen wie:"Wie hoch ist ihr Kreditkartenlimit?". Uns kam eine anderer Kunde entgegen und warnte uns dort zu buchen da seine 2000€ Kaution die vorherige Woche einbehalten wurden. Unverantwortlich von CHECK24 dieser Betrügerei keine Ende zu setzten. Wir sind gegangen und haben eine Rückerstattung über check24 angefordert sowie eine Beschwerde hinterlegt.

BETRUG! Vor Ort wurden uns angeboten, 600 € extra zu zahlen – sonst hätte man uns einen Selbstbehalt von 5.000 € verrechnet. Ich hatte bereits eine Zusatzversicherung gebucht, diese wurde vor Ort jedoch nicht beachtet, sodass mir keine andere Wahl blieb, als zu zahlen. Zusätzlich mussten wir noch 300 € Kaution hinterlegen. Am Ende: 200 € Miete + 600 € „Versicherung" + 300 € Kaution. Dazu kam ein schlechtes Fahrzeug: Scheibenwischer funktionierten nicht. Nach Diskussionen bekamen wir zwar ein anderes Auto, aber nur ein altes, schmutziges. Insgesamt eine grauenvolle Erfahrung. Lieber etwas mehr zahlen und bei einem seriösen Anbieter mieten.

FRAUD! DO NOT RENT from this ‘company’ if I can even call them that. This is not a real rental company. On the day we picked up the car we were told they will authorise a deposit of €700 for the car and a second deposit of €300 for the keys (!?!?!?). The €700 was NOT an authorisation, however, it was a CHARGE. We questioned this on the spot and they reassured us and another customer who was there to question the same thing that this is in fact a deposit which will be refunded. €700 was NEVER returned. It turned out that they defrauded us by sneakily selling us an additional insurance which we DID NOT agree to buy. My husband’s signature has been forged on the damages report, we were not given a damages report when we returned the car and we did not sign anything at all in fact which we also questioned on the spot and were told that all confirmations will be sent via email. We are taking this to the Commission for Consumer Protection in Bulgaria - you can raise a complaint online in English - and with our lawyer.

Ich verstehe wirklich nicht, wie Check24 mit solchen Anbietern zusammenarbeiten kann. Ich achte immer auf Bewertungen und habe über Carwiz gebucht, die eine Bewertung von 4,0 Sternen haben. Warum sie dann aber an eine Partnergesellschaft mit 1,3 Sternen weitergeben, ist mir völlig unbegreiflich. Der Service war der schlechteste, den ich je erlebt habe – und ich habe bereits in Nordamerika, Südamerika, Afrika und Asien Autos gemietet. Überall war es besser als hier in Bulgarien, was vermutlich am Anbieter liegt. Abholung: 40 Minuten zu spät. Übergabe: Weitere 40 Minuten Wartezeit, bis ich das Auto endlich bekam. Rückgabe: Wie viele andere schon beschrieben haben, wurde der Unterboden penibel nach Kratzern abgesucht. Da wir eine Vollkasko-Versicherung hatten, vermute ich hier fast einen Versicherungsbetrug. 2000€ wurden einbehalten. Warum Check24 so etwas unterstützt, kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Nochmals: Finger weg von dieser Autovermietung – der größte Scam!

The worst hire car company I've ever used. Also called Carwiz, but this is were we were taken. These guys are scammers and I'm tempted to report my experience to the police. They robbed me and my family and ruined our holiday. They took so much money from us and I don't think we'll ever get it back. All over the internet this is being called a "scratch scam". I bought insurance which obviously was pointless. We took such good care of the car and they showed us tiny minute scratches that were not made by us. We only used the vehicle 3 times. Then they wanted an extra €1500 excess charge for us to have any chance of getting out £600 deposit back. We don't have that kind of money. I got my first credit card, just to rent the car. We are very sad and extremely disappointed. This was in Sofia Bulgaria, but I can see from the reviews this happens at every office they have. Serious criminal activity!
